Romantic movies from different countries


Today I'd like to introduce some of the best romantic movies from all over the world. At the end of this article, I also introduce an extremely useful downloading tool to download online video.



1.     Flipped (US)

Flipped is a 2010 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Rob Reiner and based on Wendelin Van Draanen's novel of the same nameCallan McAuliffe plays Bryce and Madeline Carroll plays Juli. Aidan Quinn and Penelope Ann Miller play Juli's parents, Kevin Weisman plays Juli's mentally disabled uncle, and Shane Harper and Michael Bolten play her two brothers. Anthony Edwards and Rebecca De Mornay play Bryce's parents, and John Mahoney, in his last film appearance before his death in 2018, plays his grandfather.



2.     Titanic (US)

Titanic is a 1997 American epic romance and disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. Incorporating both historical and fictionalized aspects, the film is based on accounts of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, and stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.

3.     Amélie (France)


Amélie is a 2001 French romantic comedy film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, the film is a whimsical depiction of contemporary Parisian life, set in Montmartre. It tells the story of a shy waitress, played by Audrey Tautou, who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better while struggling with her own isolation. The film was a co-production between companies in France and Germany. Taking in over $33 million in a limited theatrical release, it is to date the highest-grossing French-language film released in the United States, and one of the biggest international successes for a French movie.


4.     La Boum (France)

La Boum is a 1980 French comedy film directed by Claude Pinoteau and starring Sophie Marceau, appearing in her film début. Written by Danièle Thompson and Claude Pinoteau, the film is about a thirteen-year-old French girl finding her way at a new high school and coping with domestic problems. The film was an international box-office hit, earning 4,378,500 admissions in France.[2][3] The music was written by Vladimir Cosma, with Richard Sanderson singing the song "Reality". A sequel movie, La Boum 2, was released in 1982.

5.     Pride and Prejudice (UK)

Pride and Prejudice is an 1813 romantic novel of manners written by Jane Austen. The novel follows the character development of Elizabeth Bennet, the dynamic protagonist of the book, who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgments and eventually comes to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness. A classic piece filled with comedy, its humour lies in its honest depiction of manners, education, marriage and money during the Regency era in Great Britain.

6.     Love Letter (Japan)


Love Letter is a 1995 Japanese film directed by Shunji Iwai and starring Miho Nakayama. It premiered on March 25, 1995.The film tells the story of a love letter originally sent to heaven out of sorrow, but surprisingly received the same name, and gradually dig out a buried years but always quiet pure unrequited love story.


7.     King of Comedy (China)

King of Comedy is a 1999 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Lee Lik-chi and Stephen ChowThe New King of Comedy, a remake set in mainland China, was released in 2019. The film is mainly about the love story between actor Yin tianchou and dancer liu piaopiao.

8.     The Classic (Korea)

This article is about the South Korean film. The film mainly tells the story of college students Yin zixi accidentally found his mother song zhuxi left diary, then review her mother's first love story.
