Halloween’s Day is just around the corner.
Do you want to watch some movies before the day so that you can pre-feel what
it would be like? Well, I think watching Halloween related movies would be a
good idea. Here in this post, I would like to show you some movies about
Halloween theme. Maybe after watching these movies, you would be too scared to
live though Halloween’s Day. Haha, enough of the bluff, let’s see what movies
would be nice for you to enjoy.
1. Monster
House
Monster House is a 2006 American 3D
computer-animated horror film. This movie is about a neighborhood being terrorized
by a sentient haunted house and it features human characters animated using
live-action motion capture animation. This animated movie is not only for kids
but also for adults who would also be frightened from time to time by some plots.
But no worry and this is movie is full of monstrous fun.
2. Corpse
Bride
It is a 2005 British-American stop-motion
animated musical dark fantasy film. The plot is set in a fictional Victorian
era village in Europe. Johnny Depp leads the cast as the voice of Victor, while
Helena Bonham Carter voices Emily, the titular bride. Victor met Emily who was
murdered years ago on the night of her elopement with a stranger. Victor wanted
to go back as he is engaged with Victory. Emily mistakenly thought Victor was
her fiancé and won’t let Victor get back to Victoria.
3.
Halloween (2018)
Halloween is a 2018 American slasher film. It
is the eleventh installment in the Halloween film series and a direct sequel to
Halloween (1978) while effecting a retcon of all previous sequels. The plot
follows a post-traumatic Laurie Strode who prepares to face Michael Myers in a
final showdown on Halloween night, forty years after she survived his killing
spree. It grossed over $255 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing
film in the franchise and the highest-grossing slasher film in unadjusted
dollars, breaking a record that Scream had previously set in 1996, as well as
setting several other box office records. You won’t be disappointed with this
thrilling movie.
4.
Coco
I would like to introduce another “Halloween
movie” but in a Mexican style. Yes, it's Coco. Coco is a 2017 American 3D
computer-animated fantasy film. The story follows a 12-year-old boy named
Miguel who is accidentally transported to the Land of the Dead, where he seeks
the help of his deceased musician great-great-grandfather to return him to his
family among the living and to reverse his family's ban on music. The concept
for Coco is inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead holiday, like Halloween the
Western Christian feast. I believe you will be moved by the touching
relationship between the characters.
5.
Scream
Scream is a 1996 American slasher film. Scream
follows the character of Sidney Prescott (Campbell), a high school student in
the fictional town of Woodsboro, California, who becomes the target of a
mysterious killer in a Halloween costume known as Ghostface. The film combines
black comedy and "whodunit" mystery with the violence of the slasher
genre to satirize the clichés of the horror movie genre popularized in films
such as Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th (1980) and Craven's own A Nightmare
on Elm Street (1984). The film was considered unique at the time of its release
for featuring characters who were aware of real-world horror films and openly
discussed the clichés that Scream attempted to subvert. This movie is so
classic that when it comes to watching horror movies, a lot of people would go for
this one.
