The Despicable
Me 2 is the sequel to Despicable Me,
a 2010 American computer-animated 3D comedy film from Universal Pictures and
Illumination Entertainment released on July 9, 2010 in the United States. It is
tentatively scheduled for release on July 3, 2013. On March 1, 2012, a teaser
trailer was released on iTunes Movie Trailers and featured the minions singing
"Barbara Ann" by the Beach Boys. The adorable minions are back in the
new "Despicable Me 2" trailer to promote the sequel set to be

The
trailer offers little insight into the world of criminal mastermind Gru,
featuring only four overall-clad minions singing the Beach Boys classic
"Barbara Ann." However, while viewers don't catch a glimpse of super
villain Gru or his three adopted girls, the trailer does succeed in eliciting
"awws" and in building anticipation for the highly anticipated
sequel.
