Free download John Mayer’s newly premiered Shadow Days official music video

John Mayer - Shadow Days
The 34-year-old country singer John Mayer has just premiered the official music video for his latest single Shadow Days, the lead single off of his upcoming album Born and Raised, which will be released on May 22 and available for pre-order on iTunes now. Ordering on iTunes will get you a bonus track titled “Fool to Love You”. In "Shadow Days" music video, John Mayer is leaving behind the bright lights and hustle and bustle of the big city for something simpler. Dressing up as a cowboy, John is making his way across the heartland of the west to chill out and let his past all go in this new music video. To hit the "finding himself" metaphor out of the park (and tap into the tune's very country-inspired sound), scenes capture a pensive John singing and strumming in front of picturesque montages of all-American desert sunsets and mountains all by his lonesome. He leads an unfussy life in the clip, as he travels from place to place, buying guitars, eating greasy food in diners and rocking a cowboy hat with the sort of sincerity only a few guitar-slinging pop stars can pull off. Take a watch of this new music video of John Mayer. John Mayer – Shadow Days lyrics
Did you know that you could be wrong
And swear you're right
Some people been known to do it
All their lives
But you find yourself alone
Just like you found yourself before
Like I found myself in pieces
On the hotel floor
Hard times have helped me see

I'm a good man, with a good heart
Had a tough time, got a rough start
But I finally learned to let it go
Now I'm right here, and I'm right now
And I'm open, knowing somehow
That my shadow days are over
My shadow days are over now

Well I ain't no troublemaker
And I never meant her harm
But it doesn't mean I didn't make it hard to carry on

Well it sucks to be honest
And it hurts to be real
But it's nice to make some love
That I can finally feel
Hard times let me be

I'm a good man, with a good heart
Had a tough time, got a rough start
But I finally learned to let it go
Now I'm right here, and I'm right now
And I'm open, knowing somehow
That my shadow days are over
My shadow days are over now

[Guitar/drums break]

I'm a good man, with a good heart
Had a tough time, got a rough start
But I finally learned to let it go
Now I'm right here, and I'm right now
And I'm open, knowing somehow
That my shadow days are over
My shadow days are over now
